We cooperated with SIA Edo Consult Project Manager Ieva Leimane and other specialists of the company in the drafting of the development planning document “Operational Strategy of the Ministry of Regional Development and Municipal Matters of the Republic of Latvia (RAPLM) 2008-2010” in 2007. The cooperation results and the quality of the work performed matched our expectations. The Advisers performed the following tasks during the project: 1) Drawing up of chapters of the document according to the structure recommended in the Rules or Procedure of the Cabinet of Ministers; 2) Assessment of operational directions of RAPLM, including state budget programmes, and preparation of proposals for the improvements thereof – assessment of descriptions of operational directions and budget programmes of RAPLM by preparing proposals for the mutual coordination thereof, as well as for their coordination with the chapter “General Information” of the document “Operational Strategy of RAPLM 2008 – 2010” and for the compliance with other public policy planning documents; 3) Arrangement and drawing up of the document “Operational strategy of RAPLM 2008 – 2010” by preparing it for approval: structuring of the document; harmonisation of a unified literary and visual style of chapters of the documents; participation in the organisation and process of public discussion of the draft document, processing of submitted proposals, making the necessary corrections in the document; preparation of summary of public discussion results. 4) Planning, organisation and management of the document task force meetings and brainstorming sessions; collecting and analysing the results of these meetings and including them in the document. During the performance of these tasks, Ieva Leimane and other SIA Edo Consult advisers proved themselves to be specialists with analytical way of thinking who are able to separate and logically structure information necessary for the particular work, analyse it, make correct conclusions and present them to an audience in a manner that is apprehensible and may be applied in practice. Participation of the advisers in the process of public discussion of the draft document, in which representatives of various public and non-governmental institutions participated by representing various interests and expressing various opinions, ensured the effectiveness of the process according to the interests of RAPLM. Processing of waste of fisheries products We would like to thank you for the professional project development and the attraction of investments for its implementation. Project “Establishment of the Waste Processing Plant of  Fishery Products at SIA Venta FM” with the total cost exceeding 4 million EUR was developed, and financing for the implementation of this project was attracted under the management of Edo Consult.
